¶ Replacing the Top Poly-carbonate Cover of the Carvera Air
¶ Tools Required
- 2mm Allen key
- Sticky tape
¶ Preparation
Secure the Top Button – Before starting, place a piece of sticky tape over the top button to prevent it from falling out during the process (Figure 1).
¶ Disassembly Process
¶ Step 1: Remove the Screws
- Using the 2mm Allen key, remove the screws securing the top poly-carbonate cover (Figure 2).
- Manually move the spindle to gain access to all screws. For safety purposes, ensure that the machine is powered off before attempting this step (Figure 3).
¶ Step 2: Remove the Side Screws
- Remove the screws on the left side of the cover (Figure 3).
- The screws on the right side are identical to those on the left—remove them as well (Figure 4).
¶ Installation Process
¶ Step 3: Replace the Poly-carbonate Cover
- Carefully remove the old cover by slightly flexing the poly-carbonate sheet to unhook it from its seated position.
- Position the new poly-carbonate cover and gently flex it as needed to align it with the mounting points.
- Secure the cover by reinstalling and tightening all screws.
- Remove the sticky tape from the top button and ensure it remains correctly positioned.
¶ Final Check
- Ensure the new cover is firmly secured and properly seated.
- Verify that the top button remains functional and correctly positioned.
The replacement process is now complete, and the Carvera Air is ready for use.
