Fixing a Loose Collet Lever

Tools Required
1.5mm Allen key
2.5mm Allen key

Procedure
¶
Step 1: Remove the Grub Screws
Locate the
grub screws
securing the collet lever shaft.
Using a
1.5mm Allen key
, remove the
front grub screw
as shown in
Figure 1
.
Similarly, remove the
rear grub screw
as indicated in
Figure 2
.

Step 2: Remove the Collet Release Lever
With the grub screws removed,
lift the collet release lever upward and out
of the collet lever shaft.
Ensure that no debris or obstructions are present before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3: Tighten the Shaft Securing Screw
Looking from the
left side
, locate the
central hole in the collet lever shaft
.
Inside this hole, identify the
2.5mm Allen screw
that secures the shaft in place (

).

Use a
2.5mm Allen key
to
tighten
this screw, ensuring the shaft is firmly secured.

Step 4: Reinstall the Collet Release Lever
Position the collet release lever back onto the shaft.
Insert and
tighten the grub screws
, ensuring they are properly seated in the
small locating hole near the end of the shaft
(

Final Check
Confirm that the collet lever moves freely without excessive play.
Ensure all screws are securely fastened to prevent future loosening.
Test the functionality before returning the machine to operation.
