When?
If your machine makes unusual noises during operation, or after frequent use for more than three months, we recommend you check the lubrication condition of the rails and screws on each axis.
If you find that the surfaces of the rails or screws are dry and lack lubricating oil, you need to add lubricant. If they are adequately lubricated, no additional lubricant is required.
1. For safety purposes, replace the cutting tool on the main spindle with a non-cutting tool.
2. Move the machine to the clearance position, unscrew the fixing screws on the rear side of the middle dust cover, and loosen the two screws nearby.
3. Move the machine to anchor1, unscrew the fixing screws on the front side of the middle dust cover, and loosen the two screws nearby.
4. Pull out the middle dust cover forward.
5. After cleaning the lower part of the machine from dust, use a syringe to lubricate the cylindrical slider, lead screw nut, and the lead screw with lubricating oil. Please use guide rail oil or low viscosity lubricating grease. Insert the syringe needle into the dust seal of the cylindrical slider and inject lubricating oil until a small amount of lubricating oil overflows. Then, insert the syringe needle into the dust seal of the lead screw nut, inject lubricating oil, and apply a small amount of lubricating oil on the lead screw.
6. Move the machine to the clearance position, and use the same method to lubricate the rear part of the Y-axis.
7. Repeat the process of moving the machine to the clearance position and anchor1, two to three times.
8. Reinstall the middle dust cover on the machine. Be sure to place the dust cloth underneath both sides of the dust cover during installation.
9. Move the machine to anchor1, remove the dust cloth pressing plate on the right side of the X-axis.
10. Unscrew the lubrication hole screws on the linear slide block, use a syringe to inject lubricating oil into the linear slide block, and tighten the screws. Then, use the same method as the X-axis to lubricate the lead screw nut and lead screw.
11. Reinstall the dust cloth pressing plate on the right side of the X-axis.
12. Move the machine to the clearance position, and use the same method to operate the left side of the X-axis.
13. Repeat the process of moving the machine to the clearance position and anchor1, two to three times.
14. Move the machine to anchor2,and lower the Z-axis to the lowest possible position.
15. Remove the upper dust cloth of the Z-axis and lubricate the upper part of the Z-axis, following the same method as the X-axis.
16. Move the machine to anchor2, remove the lower dust cloth of the Z-axis, and lubricate the lower part of the Z-axis. Please note that the lower part of the Z-axis operation may be a bit challenging, so proceed slowly.
17. After lubrication, install the lower dust cloth of the Z-axis and move the Z-axis up and down two to three times.
